A Nonsense Christmas is the perfect holiday treat, arriving just in time for the season. Full disclosure: I’m all in on Sabrina Carpenter. I've been a fan since her Disney Channel days, and she's been a household name for ages.

After Espresso went viral, dominating Spotify and Apple Music, Netflix clearly gave Sabrina an unlimited budget for this special—“just make it go viral!” While I’m not exactly part of her core audience of early 20-something, short and horny women, I still enjoyed the special, even if I didn’t recognize all the guests.

The ones I did recognize? Sean Astin, Chappell Roan, Shania Twain, Quinta Brunson, and Cara Delevingne. And then I’m like, “Who are these kids?” Sabrina and I are the same age, yet somehow I’m the one feeling out of the loop.

The special flowed effortlessly and the 50-minute runtime felt just right. I loved it, though I could’ve used more—especially the hilarious brother-in-law skit.

Sabrina's blend of low-brow humor, like in fan-favorite Nonsense, shines here, especially with her 2023 holiday remix. Add a dash of the Short n’ Sweet promo from earlier this year, and you’ve got spicy Christmas cheer.
