How I Made my Dream Collab With Tom Grossi Happen

For years, I dreamed of collaborating with Tom Grossi, one of the creators who inspired me to become a  content creator. That dream finally became a reality on Thursday, Sept. 18, when Grossi joined me on The SportsRoom TalkShow, the main show where I do all my collaborations on my YouTube channel, UngarToTheMax, to preview the Week 3 matchup between the 2-0 Green Bay Packers and the 0-2 Cleveland Browns. This was the ultimate bucket list moment for me—and you can watch the full collab right here to see every insightful and unforgettable moment.

Sitting down with someone I’ve admired for years on The SportsRoom TalkShow, talking football, and sharing perspectives was the culmination of years of effort, growth, and persistence—and the ultimate highlight of my content-creating journey.

Back in 2017, I re-branded my channel as UngarToTheMax, and in 2018, I decided it would be fun to start doing video collaborations with content creators and fans of the opposing team for games on the Browns schedule. What started as a creative experiment quickly became one of my favorite parts of being a content creator, allowing me to connect with fans across the league while sharing unique perspectives on the games.

The whole project started out with just a handful of collaborations, but as I kept doing them each season, the urge to do a collab for every game on the Browns schedule grew stronger and stronger. Over the last few seasons, I’d made it a goal to do a collaboration for every game, but it hadn’t happened due to family emergencies, medical situations, and a few other reasons—until last season, when I finally accomplished it for the first time.

Grossi is one of the four  creators who really inspired me to become a content creator. The others are: GangGreenDavid (a New York Jets fan), IngravenVids (a Baltimore Ravens fan), and NorbCam (a Seattle Seahawks fan). I watched the videos they were creating and thought, “Hey, I bet I could do that! Maybe I could even do collaborations with them if I establish myself.”

With GangGreenDavid, we collaborated on two videos: one in 2018 (Will the Cleveland Browns Prevent the New York Jets From Taking Flight?) and another in 2019 (Can the Browns Bounce Back Against the Banged-Up Jets?). With IngravenVids, he and I have built a strong connection over the past four or five years, producing several collabs together—most recently in Week 2 with 🔥 Browns vs. Ravens: AFC North Grudge Match in Baltimore! With NorbCam, I first collaborated with him back in 2019 on a Seahawks–Browns preview (Norb’s channel) and then again in 2023 when I traveled to Seattle for the Browns vs. Seahawks game and did an in-person collab before kickoff (What’s a Browns Fan Doing in Here?!!!--Norb’s channel). That left just one person on my ultimate collab bucket list: Grossi.

Last season, the Packers came to Cleveland for a preseason game, and I was in attendance (Green Bay won 23-10). But because it was a preseason game, it didn’t count toward my collaboration goals—nor did it count toward my quest to see every NFL team face the Browns in Cleveland during a regular season. That’s why finally getting the chance to see the Browns host the Packers in a regular season game made the moment even more meaningful. While the matchup itself carried plenty of history, the true milestone for me was sitting down with Grossi and sharing that experience together on The SportsRoom TalkShow—a true Bucket List Collab come to life.

I would argue that the Packers are the most historic team in the NFL—from their iconic “G” logo to Lambeau Field to Vince Lombardi to Curly Lambeau, plus the fact that they are the only publicly-owned franchise in American professional sports. Add in their 13 championships, the Frozen Tundra mystique, and generations of legendary players, and it’s hard to find another team that embodies the tradition and heritage of the league quite like Green Bay.

At the same time, the Browns have a legacy of their own. From the franchise’s founding in 1946 under the legendary Paul Brown, to the glory years of Otto Graham, Jim Brown, and Bernie Kosar—who led the beloved 1980s teams that battled for AFC supremacy—the Browns carved out their place as one of football’s original powerhouses. With eight championships of their own and a fan base known for its unmatched passion and loyalty, the Browns embody resilience and tradition in a way few franchises can. Even through decades of heartbreak and the painful “lost years” without a team, the Dawg Pound has remained one of the most iconic and dedicated fan bases in the NFL.

During the actual game on Sunday, for most of it, the Browns offense seemed to have forgotten how to offense (yes, I recognize that’s grammatically incorrect!), and yet, they were able to come out victorious 13-10. With 3:18 left in the fourth quarter, Grant Delpit came up with a HUGE interception and returned it 25 yards to Green Bay’s 4-yard line. Rookie running back Quinshon Judkins punched it in with a 1-yard touchdown to tie the game 10-10 with just three minutes remaining in regulation. Kicker Andre Szmyt, who had been chastised for missing a go-ahead field goal and extra point in Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals, drilled a 55-yard game-winning field goal as time expired to give Cleveland the 13-10 victory.

Even with all the on-field drama, the true highlight of the week was the collaboration with Tom Grossi on The SportsRoom TalkShow. From nervously reaching out and hoping he might say yes, to sitting down and recording the show together, every moment of that experience was the ultimate reward for years of dreaming, learning, and creating content. Talking football, sharing perspectives, and connecting with someone who inspired me to start creating content was more meaningful than any win on the field. That collaboration wasn’t just a bucket list item—it was the pinnacle of my content-creating journey, proof that persistence, passion, and taking a chance can lead to unforgettable moments.

Watching it come together on The SportsRoom TalkShow made it clear: this is exactly why I do what I do, and it’s a moment I’ll carry with me for the rest of my career.
