With the final eight remaining and an important power of veto competition on the line, the houseguests were greeted with motivation in the form of video messages from home. For Melody, she’s happy her mom has been receiving her phone calls she’s been sending her through the time machine phone, but it’s time for her to prove something to the other houseguests. If it wasn’t for an icon flip, she would have been evicted over Lyric in Week 4. She has yet to win a competition this season.

She knows she is competing against Barrett and Drew, her fellow For the American People (F.A.P) alliance members. Two people still need to be picked. Devens makes it clear to head of household (HOH) Yash he will keep nominations the same if he wins the comp and so will Dee. Both members were chosen, including Dee by the HOH himself, leaving Taylor out of the comp. The idea from Yash being he wants to keep Taylor off the block and the icons are both better competitors than Taylor herself. 

Unbeknown to the houseguests, when they went to the dining room time machine to head to the veto competition, they wouldn’t be back for a while. Set on Thanksgiving of this year, the houseguests were in the basement of Jack Byrne as part of the new movie Focker-In-Law. Whoever survives the pressure cooker will not only win the power of veto, but an exclusive screening of the movie.

Cutting to the chase, 13 hours in, this pressure cooker is down to Drew and Yash. It is public knowledge both individuals want the other out. Drew admits he is the weasel of the season but tells Yash he needs him to be a shield against the icons now that the bribe is over. At the end of the day, the two make a deal: On Drew’s HOH, he cannot put up Yash. Also, this week, he cannot vote out Taylor.

The weasel got himself out of a sticky situation again, taking his fellow F.A.P. members, plus “Daddy Devens”, to go see the movie. Melody uses it as an opportunity to get her “friend” to take her off the block, which Drew refuses to do after finding out from Devens that Melody was rooting for Yash to win the pressure cooker, so noms could stay the same. At the end of the day, the youngest houseguest of the season takes himself off the block, putting Melody, Barrett, and Taylor against each other in the last blockbuster of the season.

Non spoiler thoughts

  • Drew plays the 22-year-old card well. This was the perfect competition for him to use his young man charm. This season has now seen the youngest person in the house (Drew) and the oldest person in the house (Lala) winning an endurance competition. 
  • Does Yash not know that it doesn’t matter if Drew swore on his sister to keep him safe? Nothing is binding! I feel Yash has completely forgotten the possibility of a double eviction this week.
  • The fact Barrett hasn’t completely clocked that Yash is lying about the bribe is just completely erroneous gameplay. 
  • I can’t believe Melody thought she could use her charm to sway Drew into using the power of veto on her when they have not been on the same page game wise this entire time. Drew is also right; his options open up more with Melody evicted. 
  • Who sets themselves up the best to win the game tonight following the DOUBLE EVICTION?! Will Dee's killer instinct kick in and eliminate Yash?!
