We can’t have a Pharaoh’s Curse without first getting nominations, and after leaving Sunday’s episode with a confliction on who to put up next to Melody, Devens ultimately chooses his “son”, Drew, to sit next to his No. 1 in the game, to the surprise of no one, even though Drew was pitching hard to his “dad” not to make the move, all the way up to throwing the veto competition to Dee. But now, with himself on the block, Drew makes it his mission to go back to Egypt, carry the 6’5 mummy through the obstacle course and secure the power of veto. 

He completes the mission, meaning Taylor must go up as a replacement nominee. Taylor and Melody than have one hour to campaign before the Pharaoh’s Curse takes a soul and ends their Big Brother game.

Devens wants to break up the duo of Melody and Drew. So does Dee. However, Dee thinks Melody would take her to the end, whereas Taylor might take Drew or Devens, so Melody being in the game might be good for her game as well.

Right before the hour is up, Melody tries to convince Devens that if Taylor keeps being put up for eviction and surviving, she’s going to win the game. She’s seen it happen before and that taking Taylor to the end does not guarantee victory. The two-time Survivor player acknowledges that Melody has valid points but still doesn’t know if it’s worth keeping the duo together in the house.

With Drew voting to evict Taylor, and Dee voting to evict Melody, Devens does indeed have to break the tie. He ultimately chooses to separate Melody and Drew, with the thinking that he is now Drew’s closest relationship in the game. 

Tonight, we get the penultimate head of household competition of the season, the final veto competition of the season, and one houseguest evicted, as the final three will be known by the end of the night on a special two-hour live eviction episode, a contrast to what was announced on Sunday.
