Barrett was as pawny as a pawn could get this week. There was no chance he was getting evicted from the Big Brother house. The goal among all houseguests was to get out one of Chuk or Haley. The question became: If Barrett won the blockbuster, who would they evict?
Head of household (HOH) Lala, and her No. 1 Taylor, were dead set in that scenario of evicting Haley, who as HOH made their lives a living hell. Lala and Taylor also pulled in Barrett, Drew, Yash, Melody, and Mallory to conspire their plan for after Chuk or Haley left the house: The icons. Lala wants at least two of them out before jury, but that is not in the best interest of Drew and Barrett’s games, who are still working with the icons as part of the Crossovers alliance.
BarRat breaks out, letting all of the icons know that Lala was dragging their names through the mud. This causes everybody to have a second opinion about voting out Haley over Chuk if Barrett were to earn his safety. Going against the HOH’s wishes is something the icons have showed they are willing to do to mix the game up, and Haley has more enemies in the house she can go after as opposed to them.
In the end, the decision did not need to be made, as Haley pulls herself off the block in a competition where she had to knocks balls off a certain section off a ramp. Haley is the only one that votes to evict Barrett, as she stays loyal to her one true ally in the house in Chuk. In the end, the cowboy was evicted on the HOH of the person he still says is confused and has no idea what’s going on in the game.
Non spoiler thoughts
- Chuk was truly blindsided by last week’s vote of Lyric over Melody. His gameplan was truly to ride the Toolshed alliance for as far as possible. However, his downfall was he fixated too much on Lala and didn’t take into account the allies she had.
- I wish Barrett would have won the blockbuster. Lala was clearly angry that Haley took herself off. Haley was her target, and she expected the house to vote her out if Barrett would have pulled herself down. Imagine her shock, as well as Taylor’s, if Chuk was evicted instead of Haley in that scenario.
- Unless they win HOH, I would imagine this is the week the icons hit the block, whether it’s via a backdoor or original. It is well known Dee and Devens have powers, so will the strategy be to flush out said powers or put Angela on the block to avoid the powers?
