Following nominations on day four, Mallory is not handling it well, clearly upset at the possibility of being the first to go home. Melody tries to calm her friend down, but it doesn’t do much, as she starts naming names of who she would put up if she was head of household (HOH)... not smart gameplay!

Meanwhile, Taylor is handling the nomination the best she can. In the HOH room, she lets Dee know there are no hard feelings, and she will work to be safe. In the diary room, Yash says he’s upset that Dee picked someone from her own group in the HOH room to put up and later confronts her in the backyard about it after he fails to win the veto competition.

Speaking of the veto competition, Melody and Barrett join the HOH and the three nominations in a science-based competition led by returning Big Brother (BB) legends Howie Gordon and Dr. Will, where houseguests must send Dr. Will back to 2026 by connecting pipes together to form a path. Using her background as a rocket scientist, Mallory crushes the competition, something she knew she had to do as her alliance member in Melody told her she would not use the veto on her, and Barrett said he might, but in reality, he wasn’t. HOH Dee didn’t want to have to rename a replacement nominee, but since she had to, she made the decision the most logical thing to do was to put up either Ashley or Barrett since they didn’t play in the first HOH competition, and since Barrett is in the Crossovers alliance, the decision was easy.

However, the meat of this episode came with Jason, who got very intimate with BB returnee Angela and told her that he looks up to her as much as he looked up to his now diseased mother, and he’s so thankful that she supports his sexuality. Angela is so moved by Jason that she kisses him. As soon as she leaves the room, though, Jason has a smirk on his face and tells the cameras he’s totally playing her.

Outside, he gets Melody and Drew -- who earlier in the episode solidified a partnership due to Melody wanting to distance herself away from being lumped in with Lyric and Melody. Jason wants to form the Court Jesters alliance and tells them his plan to backdoor Rick Devens and target the other reality legends because the RuPaul's Drag Race star wants the spotlight and doesn’t want to share it with the Survivor and BB legends. What Jason doesn’t know is this information got back to Devens and Angela, which causes Angela’s first BB26-esk meltdown of BB28.

Poor Angela! She already broke Dee’s bathtub in the HOH room early in the episode and now she’s being backstabbed by someone she really trusted. I would be careful if I was Jason moving forward.

Now, we wait for tonight, where one of Ashley, Yash, or Taylor will pull themselves off the block with the BB blockbuster, and we’ll have the first live eviction of the season. A little bit of a spoiler here, but it sounds like if Ashley doesn’t win the blockbuster, she will be the one going home. Taylor is viewed as safe if Ashley does pull herself down.

Non-spoiler thoughts

  • Jason has made himself public enemy No. 1 for me in the house after the way he’s treating my favorite reality legends.
  • The show has already put an emphasis on Lyric and Rome’s showmance, but there’s one showmance they’re not showing if you are watching live feeds. I’m curious to see if it is mentioned tonight.
  • Melody is showing herself to be a gamer, which even Dee is admitting. Being willing to break away from her close ally in Mallory so early is a warning sign I believe moving forward, and I think Drew knows it and should be careful.
  • I think after initial hesitation, Drew is proving to be very valuable for the Crossovers, and him and Barrett both have relationships with various people in the house that the Crossovers can use to make the right decision. The main alliance in the house, for now, is still in a dominant position, but all could change if the wrong person wins HOH after this live eviction.
  • I don’t have a preference of who goes home this week. All three nominations haven’t made an imprint on me yet in the house.
  • LaTrice can dance, and she’s had a lot of surgeries!
