On April 20th, Hail The Sun performed an electric show in front of a packed Irving Plaza in NYC. They were supported by the iconic Foxy Shazam, Makari, and Resilia

Resilia, who just had an album release on May 1, started off the night with a bang, drawing out the energy from the amped crowd. Makari came out next, and the crowd couldn’t keep their feet planted for long. Crowd surfers started flowing to the front as fun and chaos rose.

Now, the iconic Foxy Shazam is a band I’ve shot a couple of times before, and I’ve come to expect a certain level of movement and uniqueness from their performances. They certainly didn’t disappoint, as each member put on a bopping, bouncing, and wild set that can hardly be done justice in still photos.

All of these amazing acts were certainly hard to follow, but Hail The Sun were up to the task. The audience was primed from moment one, and the band pushed them to go harder. Some of the coolest moments were when vocalist Donovan Melero would thrust the microphone on its stand over the audience and encourage them to get even louder.

I came away from that show absolutely buzzing and ready for more. I definitely will be in the audience the next time any of them return to NYC.
