The Lemon Twigs made a stop in Philadelphia on the eve of their newest album, Look For Your Mind, last Thursday night. Brothers Brian D’Addario and Michael D’Addario are the duo behind the band, hailing from Hicksville, NY. While their sound is very reminiscent of power pop or psychedelic rock from the ‘60s and ‘70s, they bring a refreshingly modern spin with innovative musicality.
While The Lemon Twigs are officially composed of the aforementioned sibling duo, they were accompanied by a full live band, including drummer Reza Martin and bassist Danny Ayala. In an interview with Spill Magazine, the band shared that a number of new songs from the record were initially arranged with live shows in mind, and it definitely showed. Fans were treated to hearing a handful of unreleased songs from the new record just mere hours before its release and were particularly excited to hear a few of its lead singles, “2 or 3” as well as “I Just Can’t Get Over You.” The camaraderie and joy exuded from the band as they wove through the setlist, and the energy from listeners in the venue matched fittingly.
The North American leg of the band’s tour is still underway, so don’t miss your chance to see them on the road! View all tour dates and ticket info on the band’s website, and be sure to check out the photo gallery for a glimpse into our time at the Philadelphia stop.
