Besides Angela, there may not be somebody less likely to win Big Brother’s iconic wall competition than 58-year-old Lala. Even she knew she wasn’t going to win. She was competing against Kamu after over 90 minutes on the wall. Kamu is ripped and a former UFC fighter.

“There’s no way he slips off the wall before me, right?!” Lala thinks. This is why she starts negotiating a deal with him to not be put up on the block. Nobody knows where anybody stands anymore after the chaos of Thursday’s live eviction of Lyric. There’s no more alliances. It’s anybody’s ballgame.

Well, as Kamu was saying he felt strong, his feet slip out from under him, and Lala survives the longest on the wall, and while the whole house admires her effort, everybody thinks they’re a target (besides Lala’s best friend, Taylor) because Lala rarely talks strategy with anyone but her bestie. Even in the diary room, Taylor says she needs to let people know this is Lala’s head of household (HOH), but she will have an impact because Lala doesn’t know all the politicking in the house.

Initially, Lala is thinking of putting up the two people in the middle of the old Toolshed alliance in Drew and Barrett, along with Kamu, with the idea of backdooring Haley as her real target. After her HOH ended in a blindside, Haley has become enemy No. 1 in the house. However, after Taylor let Kamu knew about Lala’s plan, Kamu began telling Taylor how when he was in an alliance with Chuk, he kept saying he would put Lala up if he was HOH. Taylor and Kamu have connected over faith, so Taylor wants to work with him. Kamu confirms with Lala what he told Taylor, so the entire plan flips. Up on the block goes Barrett, Haley, and Chuk, with no plans for a re-nom unless necessary. 

Also, Mallory entered the time capsule and received the Adam and Eve punishment, where she had to be tied with Melody for 48 hours while wearing fig leaf outfits. It’s not the worst punishment in the world.

Non spoiler thoughts

  • The entire house’ reaction to Lala winning HOH was incredible. Despite their game differences, they know they witnessed history.
  • The icons lying about not evicting Lyric may or may not help their game. With no alliances right now, the whole game is out the door. The Crossovers is still somewhat together and now Drew and Barrett want to protect them because they stuck their neck out for Melody. That may protect them, as they and Kamu are the only people to not touch the block so far this season.
  • Unless they win the veto competition or the blockbuster, Haley or Chuk should leave the house this week, officially ending the trio of Haley, Chuk, and Kamu, who may or may not still be working together.
