Going into Week six of Big Brother 28, the three icons of the season, Survivor legends Dee and Devens and BB legend Angela, have had little to no trouble navigating their icon status. They formed a majority alliance for the first month, before turning on that alliance in an attempt to spice up the game. They formed relationships with others outside of that majority alliance. It seemed like almost nothing could prevent all three of them from making the jury.
Key word: Almost.
Yash wins the head of household in a competition set on New Years Eve in 1999-- the turn of the century. Two at a time, houseguests would look at three computer screens with bugs on them and had to guess which screen had the most bugs. Yash and Kamu were chosen first by random draw, and after knocking off Kamu, Yash chose Angela to compete, raising the eyebrows of the BB returnee. She ended up losing said round, and Yash would defeat Barrett to secure power.
As for the other nominees, Haley is obvious. Yes, she won the blockbuster last week to save herself, but she still has no allies in the house since Chuk is now on the outside. She tries to rebuild her relationships with Angela and Kamu, but it’s a slow build. In an attempt to rebuild trust with her former Red Corner alliance member, Haley tells Kamu about how Dee’s been playing him and making fun of his faith. Kamu takes this information to Yash, as he wants the HOH to breakup the Wolf Pack alliance (Dee, Yash, Devens, and Kamu) and put two icons on the block.
Devens hears Yash’s plan and immediately alerts his No. 1. The Survivor 45 winner then attempts to use her bb bribe power on the HOH, at first for her and Angela, and then just for her safety. Neither bribe works, and Devens is the only icon not on the block this week. The Wolfpack is dead. All major alliances (besides F.A.P. and the Crossovers) are dead, and Dee and Angela will be fighting for their lives this week. Big Brother can flip on a dime, as we saw with the eviction of Lyric over Melody. These icons have gotten out of tricky situations before. Can they save all three for another week?
Lastly, Melody entered the time capsule and received the Lord of the Latrine punishment, where for 24 hours, when somebody has to use the bathroom, she must unlock the door and announce to all of the houseguests that said person is about to do their business.
Non spoiler thoughts
- Dee and Devens legitimately thought the Wolfpack was a strong alliance. That may be their first mistake in the game.
- Is Angela going to be upset that Dee and Devens clearly are No. 1’s working together? She knows about the powers. Will she think she’s just a third wheel?
- Angela is right: Haley is delusional in the house. She thinks she should get sympathy for how she was blindsided on her HOH. I don’t think she knows the definition of bullying.
- Will Drew and Barrett show their cards this week to save an icon?
