When we last left the Big Brother house Sunday night, Barrett officially put all three icons on the block for the first time this season, officially blowing up the Crossover alliance. The icons, specifically Angela, decided to use the nomination ceremony to blast Yash’s game for lying about the terms of the BB Bribe.

Following the ceremony, Barrett and Melody decided to get the non-icons together in the head of household room and form a ceasefire to take out the icons, something Yash and Drew are not on board with, as they both want to eliminate each other the second they get the chance.

Speaking of Drew, Devens still believes Drew could be with the icons. He thinks Drew was just as blindsided by Barrett’s nominations as they were. Dee doesn’t see it that way and believes Devens is an idiot and is blindsided by his bromance with his “son” (Dee and Devens really do fight like brother and sister!).

But it doesn’t matter what either thinks, as they need to win the iconic BB Comics competition and secure the power of veto. Unfortunately for the icons, Yash -- who was picked by Barrett over Drew -- defeated Devens by 26 seconds. In the pouring rain, the two-time Survivor player tries to pitch his case to Yash that Barrett is really targeting him and that he should keep him around as a shield.

At the veto ceremony, Yash asks each nominee to give their pitch why he should use the veto on them:

  • Angela: She’s not a threat right now in the game, and Yash is a liar.
  • Dee: Yash can’t nominate any of the icons because of the bribe, and if she stays, she’s going to make it her personal mission to make Barrett’s life a living hell.
  • Devens: He gets Barrett, who by this point is doing a puppet motion with an oven mitt towards Devens, to admit Taylor would be the re-nom if the veto is used because he won’t put up Melody or Drew. Barrett was in a Day 2 alliance with the icons and turned on them the second he got. He hasn’t worked with Yash the whole game, but now all of a sudden he wants to work with him. The Barrett/Drew/Melody trio cannot be trusted, but the icons have proven that when they are loyal to an alliance, they will ride it as far as they can.

In the end, Barrett gets his wish, and Yash decides to keep all three icons on the block. His reasoning: He took the first shot during his HOH by putting Angela and Dee up. He feels good about Barrett, despite what Devens says. Why pick a side right now?

For the first time this season, an icon is guaranteed to go home, tonight! Who will join Lala in the jury?!

Non spoiler thoughts

  • Barrett saying the icons are the only people this season that have pouted when they are on the block is the most erroneous statement I’ve heard this season. Devens has said he feels Barrett got jealous when every member of the Moshpit besides him entered the time capsule. There may be some truth to that.
  • This ceasefire alliance to the final five doesn’t make sense for anybody besides Melody and Barrett.
  • Devens got sick. With this impact his ability to win the blockbuster?
  • It is so hard to spot the difference for most of these comics. I’m not a fan of comics, so don’t ask me who my favorite is.
