Following the 12-1 vote-out of Rome on Thursday, Angela gets relief from her egg costume and houseguests try to figure out who the one vote for Melody was. Lyric swears on her life it wasn’t her. Dee and Angela think it was Drew -- who all of a sudden has insulated himself with every group in the house and is literally playing the middle -- and in reality, Taylor voted to evict Melody because she doesn’t care about going against the house and wants to play her own game, and Rome was better for her game.

For the head of household (HOH) competition, the non-reality legend side of the house is sick and tired of seeing that alliance dominate the game, Alas, in a booth competition featuring true or false questions after the houseguests had to watch a wrestling match on March 31, 1985 (for those of you that don’t know, that is the date of WrestleMania I), the MMA fighter, Kamu, was gifted power, guaranteeing the Toolshed another week in power, something Barrett and Drew re hoping to change relatively soon.

Kamu’s original plan was to put up LaTrice, Mallory, and Jason. However, Drew, who he has now formed a Final 2 with known as the Handymen, convinces the HOH to backdoor Jason the same way Survivor legend Rick Devens did to Rome, as Jason is now viewed in the house as a competition beast. Speaking of Devens, he entered the BB time capsule and won the diamond power of veto, which means that for the next six weeks, at the veto ceremony, he can take someone off and name the replacement nominee, taking that power away from the HOH. He only tells Dee, his Survivor castaway and his No. 1 in the game, but he will use it for Angela if he needs to.

After telling Lyric originally he was not going to put her up, and he wants her to start playing the game now that her showmance is on the outside, he tells the Hawaii lawyer she will be going up, but strictly as a pawn to help vote out Jason. Lyric doesn’t take the strategy too kindly, but she does have an opportunity to win the power of veto on Wednesday’s show. LaTrice was put up because according to Kamu, she is the only person in the house who has not talked game with him. Mallory made it very clear in her one-on-one with Kamu that she will be targeting the legends, unaware Kamu has a super alliance with all three.

Non-spoiler thoughts

  • I was not a fan of the HOH competition; it was a little cheesy to me.
  • Taylor beats to her own drum.
  • The Toolshed is about to implode in one of the next few weeks. The question is: Who takes the first shot: The legends or Drew and Barrett? With that said, if the Toolshed wins another HOH Week 4, the other side of the house may blow a gasket and the more time the reality legends stay off the block, the more targets they are going to have on their back.
  • The Drew and Melody relationship isn’t quite showmance level yet, and they insist it won’t get to that level, but I don’t know about that the longer both stay in the game. We may have two showmances this summer.
  • When Devens uses the power may dictate how long he stays in the game.
  • It’ll be interesting to see if Kamu’s sentiment towards Lyric no longer being a target remains true throughout the whole house.
  • Targeting LaTrice ruffled more feathers than I think Kamu may realize. Even though she has had some controversy of being too much of a mother at times in the house, she is well-liked.
