These two have worked and toured together before. In fact, they played at this exact venue almost a year ago, and unfortunately, due to work, I missed out. So imagine how stoked I was to find out that Davvn (pronounced Dawn) and Jack the Underdog were touring again with a stop in Milwaukee. I think it was just for me, maybe! 😛 I absolutely made sure I had no other plans than to be at the Cactus Club to catch both of them performing.

Jack the Underdog played first, and even after a rough start with technical difficulties, they didn't let it bother them in the slightest. Their guitarist had some fun talking to the crowd to keep the energy light. He entered the stage with his hot pink hair glowing under the stage lights, and the room immediately started bouncing along in unison. He even jumped into the crowd and danced with everyone.

Afterward, Davvn took the stage and rocked out. The room was on fire for her as she held the microphone out several times, inviting fans in the front to sing into it. She made eye contact with everyone, creating a genuine connection with the people there. The audience loved it, especially when she joined in on the fun herself for a moment.

These two artists are nothing but fun and know how to create truly authentic moments with the crowd. It was amazing to watch. I loved seeing them jump on stage with each other to add vocals throughout the set. Watch out because Davvn and Jack the Underdog are here to take over the world with their hyper-pop-punk energy. Long live independent artists and local DIY venues! ❤️
