The Red Clay Strays - Demons in Your Choir
New album Grateful arriving June 5th. “It’s a different sound,” says The Red Clay Strays lead singer Brandon Coleman. “And this is a different-sounding album, genre-wise. It’s a good way to start.” Tour is happening now through November.
Teddy Swims - Mr. Know It All
“Mr. Know It All explores the idea that love can become a self-fulfilling contradiction. When you believe you already know how it ends, you protect yourself by holding back, and that distance becomes the reason it fails. But when you try to fight that fate and control every outcome, you can end up suffocating the connection. It’s about how both fear and control can quietly undo something real. It's essentially a spin on Robert K. Merton's concepts of the self-destroying prophecy versus the self-fulfilling prophecy, also known as ‘The Prophet's Dilemma.’” - Teddy Swims
Willie Nelson - Dream Chaser, album out May 29.
The record marks Nelson’s 79th solo studio album and 156th overall, and is a brand-new collection of reflective, story-driven songs focused on relationships, personal growth, and life on the road. Rooted in classic songwriting traditions with a modern perspective, Dream Chaser balances intimate narratives with universal themes of perseverance, timing, and clarity. The first single from the album is the titular track, “Dream Chaser.” The song—co-written by Nelson, longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon, and Nashville songwriter Bobby Tomberlin—offers an early glimpse into the spirit of the forthcoming release.
All Then Witches - The Welterweight
The band will release their seventh studio album, House of Mirrors, on May 29th. McLeod shares, “A lot of it has to do with our chemistry. This unique dynamic enabled us to make a genuinely well-rounded record.” “We all have open communication,” agrees Parks. “Everyone speaks his mind. We hadn’t released a new album in more than five years, so we definitely had quite a bit of experience to pull from, and we were more prepared than ever.” Catch them on tour doing 21 shows in 21 days!
Nathan Evans Fox - Little Bit of Shine, Forthcoming LP Heirloom out May 29th.
Tour starts May 13th. “Every musician has to have a song about paying their dues, and this is mine. The initial impetus of this song was seeing buddies of mine blow up and headline a festival in my hometown on their way to selling out arenas. Seeing their success (and remembering when they offered me a spot in their band), I took away a renewed clarity about what has frustrated me in my music career and what opportunities I have talked myself out of. Also, I’m pretty proud of the swamp mud on that banjo lick going into the instrumental.” - Nathan Evans Fox
Ducks LTD - Easy Come, Ease Go ft. Martin Courtney cover song.
Tour starts April 30th. “We're on the record as being big Go-Betweens fans, and this song is from my favorite Go-Between, Grant McLennan's, first solo record from right after the band broke up. I think it's one of his best songs. It uses figurative language in a way that feels plain-spoken and direct, and it incorporates contemporary imagery in a way that feels timeless. If it'd been on a Go-Betweens album, it would have been one of their classics,” explains guitarist/vocalist Tom McGreevy.
Student 1 - Kevinkevinkevin ft. Demon Marcus.
A Kevin Parker-inspired track which explores dissociation, disillusionment, and being misunderstood. The Minnesota-based artist and producer announced fourth album Traunt, a 12-track album entirely written, mixed, and mastered by himself. Speaking about the track, he says, “It started out as a beat I was too scared to record over, and then my friend Austin (Demon Marcus) helped me work up the courage to try something outside my usual pocket.”
Taj Mahal - Time album is out now!
A deeply soulful and expansive collection, Time stands as both a reflection on a six-decade career and a powerful statement of continued creativity, offering a masterclass in soul, roots, folk, reggae, and blues from one of American music’s most enduring and influential voices. At the heart of the album is its title track, “Time,” a never-before-heard composition written by the late Bill Withers, originally recorded only as an unreleased demo before being brought to Mahal by close friend and music industry executive and producer Steve Berkowitz, who—with the blessing of both Bill and Marcia Withers—brought the song to Mahal and the band.
Keyland - Stick
The rockin’ new single is the last track released before the forthcoming new album Knuckle Sandwich. “I only had the first line of that song going into the studio, and then the rest of it came together in about 15 mins,” he says of the new single. “I think it’s my favorite song on the album, and a direction I’d love to point to for the future of Keyland. I like that it’s hard to fit in a genre, but I’d call it more rock & roll than anything. It might be a north star of some kind for lots of future music.” Catch the new tracks live while he is on tour with Uncle Lucius, joining for 9 dates starting July 23rd. Be on the lookout for more tour dates to be announced!
