Keyland - Cannonball

Tulsa-based songwriter Keyland has released his knock out new studio album Knuckle Sandwich – out now via One Riot. Knuckle Sandwich is Keyland’s sharpest and most fully realized work to date. Recorded at the legendary Sonic Ranch, the remote, analog-leaning studio near the Texas–Mexico border, the album captures the messy, contradictory nature of love with equal parts humor and hard truth. Rooted in the storytelling tradition of Oklahoma and the broader Americana lineage it feeds, the record moves between swagger and self-awareness, landing somewhere between a smirk and a gut punch. Alongside the album’s release, Keyland has also dropped a stunning new music video for focus track Cannonball.”

Max McNown - Something To Someone

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Max McNown released the new single “Something to Someone,” a heartfelt, indie folk-rock ballad about the desire to be genuinely known, accepted, and loved. Speaking on the single’s inspiration, McNown says, “Lying deep in nearly every person’s heart sits the desire to be known. Not on the surface, but truly known, all that they feel scared of, alone in, or grateful for. When writing this track, I had to dig deep into my past insecurities, all of the times I fell in love while someone fell out of it. The desperate nature of the chorus comes directly from my experiences; a plea crying out for somebody, someday, to truly know me, and love this broken person for the good, in spite of the flaws.”

Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science - Identity Song

Boy Golden - Suffer (Acoustic)

Today, visionary singer-songwriter Boy Golden released a new acoustic version of his hit single “Suffer,” off his critically acclaimed album Best of Our Possible Lives. The stripped-back single showcases beautiful harmonies that complement the acoustic guitar and harmonica while placing an emphasis on the lyrics exploring the Buddhist philosophy that the one thing that unifies us all is our human capacity to suffer. This new single follows the recent announcement of Boy Golden’s nomination as 2026 Emerging Act of the Year by the Americana Honors & Awards. On the nomination and single release, Boy Golden shared, “I am truly honored to be considered for the Emerging Artist award at this year's Americana Music Awards. To be an international artist considered for this award is an accomplishment I am proud of. This album was born of many years on the road across North America, years of absorbing experiences, struggles, and stories - both experienced and witnessed - and turning them into song. It feels timely to release this acoustic version of Suffer, a song I feel speaks to the moment. This song may have had a hard time getting traction in America due to the rise of the fascist government there, but I believe it has power and I believe this record has power and I believe music has power.”

Herrera writes with striking emotional clarity and a deep sense of narrative, building songs that feel immersive and richly detailed. She describes her sound as “storybook-pop,” combining intimate songwriting with cinematic pop production. At its core, A Fearful & Wondrous Thing is about stepping fully into the vivid, unpredictable experience of being alive, a theme reflected in its bold, technicolor sound. “This record is an arrival—both to life and to myself as an artist. I’m a late bloomer who spent years believing I wasn’t someone who could accomplish great things, which kept me rooted in anxiety and self-doubt,” she reveals. "These songs came after I finally broke free of that story, and they reflect a life lived in full, complete with love, grief, mystery, joy, and all the beautiful chaos of being alive.”

Alaina May - Casual

Rising Brooklyn-based indie artist Alaina May reveals her new single “Casual.” After years spent quietly writing and shaping a deeply personal catalog of songs, “Casual” arrives as the first glimpse into a new chapter for Alaina May. Produced by indie-rock duo TOLEDO, the track pairs melodic, atmospheric production with May’s soft, disarming vocal delivery. “‘Casual’ lives in that space where you mistake limerence for real connection,” May shares. “After something ends, even the smallest moments of closeness feel heightened and intoxicating because they fill a vulnerable void. You can be completely self-aware—naming the pattern, recognizing the push and pull—and still not be able to stop yourself from getting pulled in. It’s that tension between wanting something light and realizing that, at my core, I’m just not wired for ‘casual.’
