International indie-pop icon Ruel made waves in the crowd at Marathon Music Works in Music City, an area he has staked familiarity with thanks to a surging fanbase and as the birthplace of many songs from his newest album, Kicking My Feet.
Born in the UK and raised in Sydney, Australia, Ruel’s music is unbound by country or genre. With an illustrious feature on Omar Apollo’s “Want U Around” and tracks of his own ranging from soulfully heartaching to main character dance movement. “Painkiller,” the 2019 indie hit that started it all, closed out the set with resounding excitement from the unceasingly ecstatic crowd.

Arthur Hill, self-proclaimed “26-year-old teen sensation,” lives up to the sensational title, sparking the crowd while opening up for Ruel’s Kicking My Feet tour. Similarly from the UK, Arthur exemplifies the similarly danceable yet authentic heart-throbbing bops that Ruel produces, making him the quintessential choice for a back-to-back showcase of great music and character.
