After a seemingly four-year hiatus, The Technicolors are back and better than ever, showcasing their North American tour for their latest album, Heavy Pulp, released last August. As the name implies, the album is dense, saturated, and granular. The Technicolors’ performance is nothing short of their electric name, holding similar proclivities to a smaller-scale Cage The Elephant for lovers of the similar alternative-rock and post-punk influences.

Touring with them is self-proclaimed afro-indie-pop-post-punk-hip-hop trio, Veaux. As the extensive description implies, Veaux’s sound is hardly defined by concrete bounds of genre. Despite technical difficulties, they were sure to bring a raw and powerful opening performance for their hometown stop in the ever-intimate Cannery Hall venue in Nashville, TN.
