When Yash won head of household (HOH) in Week 5 and put Dee and Angela on the block, that did not sit well with any of the icons. Devens used his diamond power of veto to save his fellow Survivor player, and the icons took their shot (successfully) at Yash’s No. 1 at the time, Kamu. The following HOH, Dee reigned victorious and used her BB bribe power to ensure that none of the icons could go up on Yash’s next HOH, even if one of them (including her) was eliminated.

The episodes have been playing this moment over and over again this season, and after trying to lie about the terms of the bribe to the rest of the house last week during Barrett’s HOH, Yash won a western-style 19th century HOH competition that was similar to the football contest in Big Brother 25. With the bribe in play, Yash has no choice but to nominate all three members of the For The American People (F.A.P) alliance in Barrett, Melody, and Drew. To cover his tracks, the biggest competitor in the house told Barrett and Melody he has a handshake deal with Devens, which is just a bad lie. At this point, he should own it. The reason he doesn’t tell Drew is because the man that is playing the middle and the one who was publicly called out by Dee right before the live vote last week, is the target of this HOH. 

With Drew choosing to evict Dee over Angela, even though he has been team icons throughout this whole game, he finally chose the wrong side (voting with Melody to evict Dee). Now that Devens, Dee, Yash, and Taylor are working together to knock off F.A.P., one of those three must win the power of veto to save themselves this week. To do so, they must outlast the pressure cooker! 

Non spoiler thoughts

  • Yash wanted to get rid of the bribe this week, which is smart, but does he not realize that next week is double eviction, and with the inability to play in the next HOH competition, he could go from HOH to being the fourth member of the jury. I don’t see this four-person alliance between the icons, Yash, and Taylor lasting past Thursday if everything goes the icons’ way.
  • Drew is right: Barrett’s HOH may have been one of the worst in recent history, and it blew up his game. Now, he has no choice but to side with F.A.P. 
  • With that in mind, are Barrett and Drew still boys?!
  • Keeping Dee may have been the biggest mistake Yash and Taylor could make. These icons are icons for a reason. I don’t think there’s a way they take each other to the end, but boy, would it be fitting for this season.
  • This is the first time in either Survivor or Big Brother that Dee has been emotional about someone going home. After 66 days, it just goes to show how close you could get to someone you only met two months ago. She will get her revenge on Drew and Barrett for letting Angela go out the door on Barrett’s HOH.
